Basketball Game Preview: Junction Eagles vs. San Saba Armadillos

Junction is 0-10 against San Saba since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Junction Eagles will take on the San Saba Armadillos at 6:15 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Junction took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Center Point with a sharp 47-23 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted since December 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for San Saba against Coleman on Friday as the squad secured a 66-39 win. The Armadillos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

San Saba has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Junction, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-14.

Junction took a serious blow against San Saba in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 74-20. Can Junction avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
