Baseball Game Preview: Lakeland Hornets vs. Pleasantville Panthers

The Lakeland Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Pleasantville Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Lakeland didn't have quite enough to beat Walter Panas and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly two runs.

Lakeland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sergio Hormazabal, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Pleasantville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hendrick Hudson. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly three runs.

Pleasantville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lakeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
