Softball Game Preview: Arroyo Knights vs. El Monte Lions

The Arroyo Knights will face off against the El Monte Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Arroyo will be strutting in after a victory while El Monte will be coming in after a loss.

Arroyo took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Gabrielino 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, El Monte's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 8-1 to South El Monte.

El Monte saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Victoria Valdez, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

El Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Arroyo, their win bumped their record up to 11-9-1.
