Baseball Game Preview: Wortham Bulldogs vs. Cayuga Wildcats

The Wortham Bulldogs will take on the Cayuga Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 16 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Wortham and four for Cayuga.

Wortham fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against LaPoynor on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Flyers by a score of 8-6. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Bulldogs' highest-scoring game to date.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cayuga took on Kerens on Friday. The Wildcats lost 9-3 to the Bobcats.

Cayuga saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Conner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Wortham's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Cayuga, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
