Basketball Game Preview: Fremont Eagles vs. Churubusco Eagles

The Fremont Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Churubusco Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Fremont opened the new year with a less-than-successful 52-43 loss to Angola.

Meanwhile, Churubusco was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 48-43 to Manchester. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Squires recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Churubusco's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Fremont, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.

Fremont didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Churubusco when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fremont since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
