Basketball Recap: Badger State Baptist Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Badger State Baptist can now relate to. They took a 68-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock County Christian Eagles on Saturday. Badger State Baptist was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Rock County Christian earlier this season, when they won 43-37.

Rock County Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gideon Ukwuorji, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Ukwuorji is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Derek Quinn, who posted 22 points and seven boards.

Badger State Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Rock County Christian, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 27-4.

Badger State Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rock County Christian, they will take on Maranatha Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rock County Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
