Baseball Recap: Greenfield Takes a Loss

Greenfield has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.72 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 10-3 to the South Range Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since February 28th.

Greenfield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clark Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Simon Quinn was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Greenfield's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for South Range, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Greenfield will challenge Mercyhurst Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Range, they will host Poland Seminary at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
