Basketball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the DuPont Manual Crimsons 86-29. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Crimsons are ranked 47th).

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for DuPont Manual, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-9.

Shawnee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-64 defeat against Eastern on the 17th. As for DuPont Manual, they will challenge Male at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
