Volleyball Recap: Leominster Triumphs

While Leominster's win against Ayer Shirley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils skirted past the Panthers 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (111-106) Leominster actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 18-25, 28-26, 25-23, 15-12.

Leominster's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Ayer Shirley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leominster will challenge Wachusett Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ayer Shirley, they will face off against North at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
