Randolph County barely beat Wellborn the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 12-1 win on Thursday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.
Gracie Robinson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Robinson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Bryer Thompson was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Huckeba, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Randolph County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Randolph County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.
