Volleyball Game Preview: Wauseon Indians vs. Lake Flyers

The Wauseon Indians will face off against the Lake Flyers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wauseon comes in on three and Lake on five.

Wauseon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Bath.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wauseon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Halle Fogarty, who had 13 digs. That's the most digs Fogarty has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaya Gonzales, who had seven digs and three aces.

Wauseon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 7-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Lake made easy work of Vermilion on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Wauseon's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Lake, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.

Wauseon suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Lake in their previous meeting back in August of 2020. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
