Basketball Recap: Rio Hondo Prep Skates Past SEED: LA with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, Rio Hondo Prep was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They really took it to the SEED: LA Grizzlies for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-27 win. With the Kares ahead 40-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Rio Hondo Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for SEED: LA, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rio Hondo Prep will host Providence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for SEED: LA, they will square off against Palmdale Academy Charter School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
