Softball Recap: Pioneer Comes Up Short

Pioneer couldn't beat San Lorenzo Valley on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Mustangs lost 13-7 to the Cougars. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olivia Krump was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Emmah Ramirez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Pioneer will welcome Oak Grove at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for San Lorenzo Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Pacific Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
