Baseball Game Preview: HCYA vs. Emery/Weiner

HCYA will head out on the road to challenge Emery/Weiner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. HCYA's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Emery/Weiner's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

HCYA is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Houston Christian just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 7-2 to the Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, HCYA couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Emery/Weiner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Second Baptist.

Emery/Weiner saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eloosha Goott, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

HCYA's defeat dropped their record down to 22-14. As for Emery/Weiner, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

HCYA suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Emery/Weiner when the teams last played back in February of 2018. Can HCYA avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
