Metro Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Omaha R Roadrunners out 43-41. That's more bragging rights for the Mavericks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Omaha R lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sampson Baker, who posted nine points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Stephen Vankat, who earned ten points.

Metro Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Omaha R, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.
