Football Recap: Marshfield Comes Up Short

Marshfield had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of the Logan-Rogersville Wildcats. The Bluejays lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 34-14 score last time.

As for Logan-Rogersville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly 42 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Logan-Rogersville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sam Frieze, who threw for 156 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes. Another pass catcher making a difference was Gage Hale, who picked up 94 receiving yards and one score.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marshfield is set to take on their familiar foe West Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Logan-Rogersville will face off against rival Branson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
