Baseball Game Preview: Pearsall Mavericks vs. San Antonio HomeSchool Wolverines

The Pearsall Mavericks will take on the San Antonio HomeSchool Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pearsall has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 7.

Pearsall lost 13-1 to Somerset on Tuesday.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between San Antonio HomeSchool and Cornerstone Christian, and Cornerstone Christian kept the tradition alive. The Wolverines fell 4-1 to the Warriors on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Wolverines couldn't push the score so high this time.

San Antonio HomeSchool's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-14-1. As for Pearsall, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Pearsall came out on top in a nail-biter against San Antonio HomeSchool when the teams last played back in February of 2018, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Mavericks repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
