Boston Latin Academy proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 13) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Boston Latin Wolfpack. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Wolfpack: they've now won three in a row.

Maddie Andrade was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruby Gold, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Boston Latin Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Boston Latin, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boston Latin Academy will face off against Masconomet Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chieftains have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Boston Latin, they will take on Archbishop Williams at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The Wolfpack will need to watch out since the Bishops have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
