Calhoun City posted their closest victory since April 25, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Bruce Trojans 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Trojans last Thursday, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

Amaryona Pass was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Justiyah Pittman was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Calhoun City is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Bruce, they moved to 11-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Calhoun City has already played their next contest, a 21-4 loss against Vardaman on the 5th. As for Bruce, they will face off against Ingomar at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
