Recap: West Holmes Knights vs. Mansfield Senior Tygers
The West Holmes Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Mansfield Senior 62-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Holmes has scored all season.
Mansfield Senior can attribute much of their success to Karion Lindsay, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyevi Roane, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
West Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Mansfield Senior, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Holmes will face off against Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lexington's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Mansfield Senior won't have much time to rest: their next game is against South at 3:15 p.m. on December 30, 2023. South is on a four-game streak of home wins, Mansfield Senior a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
