Softball Recap: West Plains Zizzers vs. Sherwood Marksmen
West Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sherwood Marksmen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Zizzers of the 6-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.
West Plains' loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Sherwood, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 6-12 record.
West Plains will take on Poplar Bluff at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sherwood, they will host Rolla at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Rolla will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Sherwood surely won't give up without a fight.
