Softball Recap: Orange Victorious

Orange's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Williams Bulldogs by a score of 15-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

The team relied heavily on Hayleigh Hammond, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Allen, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.

Orange hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Orange's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Williams, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Orange will have a chance to go back-to-back against Williams: the pair will be back at it again later today.
