Football Game Preview: Columbus Cougars vs. Sweet Grass County Sheepherders + How To Watch

The Columbus Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Sweet Grass County Sheepherders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Columbus is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 37 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Three Forks on Friday. They were beaten by the Wolves 50-7.

Meanwhile, Sweet Grass County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Jefferson and fell 42-6. The Sheepherders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Columbus will have to contain Colter Anderson as he made an impact in Sweet Grass County's last game. He rushed for 99 yards and one TD.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Sweet Grass County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Columbus against Sweet Grass County in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-13 victory.
