Texico extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 6-10 in the process. They came out on top against the Loving Falcons by a score of 14-10. Surprisingly, this marked the Wolverines' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Alex Fuentes was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in March. Ismael Silva also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
As for Loving, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7. Surprisingly, this marked their third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
On Loving's side, Trey Tarvin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Tarvin has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Shawn Austin was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Texico is taking a road trip to take on Santa Rosa at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Loving, they will be playing at home against Jal at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Falcons are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
