Basketball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 69-54 to the Carrick Raiders.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Carrick, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley will host Burrell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carrick, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Perry Traditional Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Carrick's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Perry Traditional Academy has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
