Recap: Crowley Eagles vs. North Crowley Panthers
The Crowley Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Crowley, falling 56-21. Crowley has struggled against North Crowley recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Crowley still got an impressive performance from Caleb Williams, who threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
North Crowley was led to victory by Chris Jimerson and Ashton Searl. Jimerson rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while Searl rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Jimerson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards. Another player making a difference was Dekoryian West-davis, who picked up 62 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Crowley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for North Crowley, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Crowley will take on Byron Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Byron Nelson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 461 points over their last nine matchups. As for North Crowley, they will square off against Keller at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keller will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 109th, while North Crowley is ranked fifth).
