The Miami Beach Hi-Tides will head out to take on the Ferguson Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Miami Beach knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Ferguson likes a good challenge.
Miami Beach will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Coral Gables, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Miami Beach was the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over Coral Gables on Wednesday. The Hi-Tides haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Maricela Mesarina made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Lisa Delsolar was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Litz Marin, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Miami Beach hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coral Gables struck out 15 times.
Meanwhile, Ferguson came up short against Satellite on Saturday, falling 12-3. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Amaya Santamaria was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Ferguson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Miami Beach, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Ferguson's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Miami Beach has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game.
