 After losing to Schaeffer Academy the last time they met, Spring Grove decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Spring Grove Lions blew past the Schaeffer Academy Lions 11-4. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Spring Grove.
  Brinley Middendorf made a big impact no matter where she played. She  tossed seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits. Middendorf has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in 11 consecutive pitching appearances. Middendorf was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news, Spring Grove got a  massive  performance out of  Katelyn Kraus, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Kraus has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Emerson Ingvalson was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Spring Grove is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 6-14 record  this season. As for Schaeffer Academy, they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-14.
 Spring Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Schaeffer Academy, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Goodhue at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
