Volleyball Recap: Calvert Falls Short Against Ranked Broadneck + How To Watch

Calvert faced Broadneck in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cavaliers lost 3-0 to the Bruins. The loss put an end to the Cavaliers' undefeated start to the season.

Calvert was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Broadneck work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 27-25, 25-9.

Having lost for the first time this season, Calvert fell to 6-1. As for Broadneck, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Calvert will head out to take on Chopticon at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Broadneck, they will challenge Musselman at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
