Manchester Academy's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Winston Academy Patriots as the Manchester Academy Mavericks made off with a 15-3 victory. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Hayden Austin made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit over his last six games. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Wrigley Richardson and Jon Parker Dees did most of the damage at the plate: Richardson scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Dees scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those three hits gave Richardson a new career-high. Adam Edger was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Manchester Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winston Academy only posted a batting average of .071.

Manchester Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Winston Academy and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
