Basketball Recap: Plainview Find Success

Plainview won the last time they faced Byng, and Abby Chaney did her part to make sure it happened again. The Plainview Indians strolled past the Byng Pirates with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 52-36 thanks in part to Chaney, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kali Williamson, who posted four points and five steals. She has become a key player for Plainview: the team is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 6-9 otherwise.

The victory got Plainview back to even at 9-9. As for Byng, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Plainview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-44 defeat against Tuttle on the 8th. As for Byng, they will head out to challenge Marietta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
