Baseball Recap: Ridge Community Takes a Loss

If Ridge Community was riding high fresh off their 15-3 takedown of Haines City last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ridge Community Bolts came up short against the Lake Region Thunder on Wednesday, falling 15-4. The Bolts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunder earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Ridge Community has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. The win made it two in a row for Lake Region and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

While Ridge Community had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
