Softball Game Preview: Rickards Raiders vs. Buchholz Bobcats

The Rickards Raiders will challenge the Buchholz Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Rickards came up short against Leon on Wednesday, falling 15-7. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Alivia Scott was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Arriana Wilson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Buchholz lost 14-5 to Bradford on Monday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Juliana Abraham made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Cooper, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Rickards' defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Buchholz, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
