League recap: North Dickinson tops Bark River-Harris to extend winning streak

Mid-Eastern recap October 1, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in Mid-Eastern this week, North Dickinson beat Bark River-Harris 34-8. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Nordics.

Stephenson scaled the state rankings by moving to 359 from 387 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Newberry 35-8.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when North Central takes on the Indians. As it stands, the Jets are in second, while Newberry is in fourth.

Munising made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,026 from 10,703. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 26-21 victory over Manistique last week.
