Softball Recap: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Comes Up Short

If Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin was riding high fresh off their 20-3 takedown of Geneva last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elyria Catholic Panthers on Thursday.

Lexi Simon and Sienna Steinmetz stepped up to the plate in a big way. Simon went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Steinmetz got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Lily Rader, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Elyria Catholic, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.
