Recap: Baker Bobcats vs. Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions
The Baker Bobcats lost against the Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Baker took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Muchin College Prep. Baker has not had much luck with Muchin College Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Baker's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Serenity Curry, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Curry scored a full 44.7% of Baker's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Davis, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Baker now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Muchin College Prep, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baker will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hansberry at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2024. As for Muchin College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Pritzker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
