Basketball Recap: West Point Warriors vs. Dora Bulldogs

The West Point Warriors stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Dora for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-27 win on the road. The win was just what West Point needed coming off of a 60-39 defeat in their prior contest.

Bella Reese and Ja'laya Harris certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Reese scored seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals, while Harris scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals. Reese is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyria Meadows, who scored seven points.

West Point is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Dora, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-6.

West Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dora won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Carbon Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 121st).
