West Holmes has gone a perfect 4-0 against Wooster recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Generals at 5:00 p.m. West Holmes will be strutting in after a victory while Wooster will be coming in after a defeat.
West Holmes took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Waynedale 12-2. The Knights not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 4, 2024.

BRIAR CLINE made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, GABBY FOWLER and ZALINA PROPER did most of the damage at the plate: FOWLER went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while PROPER scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That home run was FOWLER's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of EMMA MILLER, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
West Holmes kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Waynedale only managed seven hits.
Meanwhile, Wooster didn't have quite enough to beat Loudonville on Monday and fell 3-2. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kennedy Russell was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Emily Boyd was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
West Holmes' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Wooster, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Everything went West Holmes' way against Wooster in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as West Holmes made off with a 13-4 victory. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Generals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
