Basketball Recap: Des Moines East Comes Up Short

Des Moines East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 75-18 loss at the hands of the Ottumwa Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scarlets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-14 back in December of 2024.

Des Moines East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Ottumwa, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.

Des Moines East will head out to square off against Roosevelt at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ottumwa, they will host Des Moines North at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
