Volleyball Recap: Northridge Vikings vs. Heath Bulldogs

If Northridge was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Zanesville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Northridge Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heath Bulldogs on Thursday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.

Northridge was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Heath work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 30-28, 21-25, 25-16.

Heath was led to victory by Kylie Green and Addy Mathis. Green had 16 digs and four aces, while Mathis had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Mathis has posted since back in September.

Northridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. As for Heath, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Northridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lakewood on the 8th. Heath has also already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Utica on the 8th.
