Volleyball Recap: Millburn Falls Short Against Ranked St. John-Vianney

Millburn faced St. John-Vianney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Millers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. The Millers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 20-25, 25-20.

Sydney Grani paced Millburn's offense, picking up 14 kills. Grani got some help from Franna Hawksworth and her 25 assists. Ava Chen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Millburn's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for St. John-Vianney, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Millburn has already played their next contest (against Cranford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. John-Vianney, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Colonia at 4:00 p.m. on the 30th.
