Soccer Game Preview: Cache vs. Bethany

The Cache Bulldogs will head out to take on the Bethany Bronchos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cache was handed a five-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ada, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Cache were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Bethany got the win against Mount St. Mary on Tuesday by a conclusive 5-2. Considering Bethany have won three matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bethany pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four contests. As for Cache, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-6.

Cache might still be hurting after the 11-3 defeat they got from Bethany when the teams last played back in April of 2025. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bulldogs were down 7-2.
