Football Game Preview: Mesa Jackrabbits vs. Salpointe Catholic Lancers + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Mesa will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against the Salpointe Catholic Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mesa easily dispatched Desert Ridge two weeks ago, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Jackrabbits fell just short of Casteel by a score of 13-10 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 53 points in the game before, the Jackrabbits couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mesa's defeat came about despite a quality game from Rio Arnett, who rushed for 109 yards. Arnett's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, Salpointe Catholic faced ALA - Queen Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lancers secured a 21-17 W over the Patriots.

Mesa now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Salpointe Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
