After failing to score in their last match, Newark Memorial made sure to put some goals up on the board against American on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the American Eagles as they made off with a 6-2 victory. Considering the Cougars have won six contests by more than three goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit American with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jonathan Mitiku (4), Joshua Fernandez, and Ibrahim Ahmed.

Newark Memorial's win bumped their record up to 8-9-3. As for American, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-9-1.
