They received a blow as they fell 42-27 to the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers. While the Dolphins had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Cavaliers 13-7.
Colt Layton was his usual excellent self, rushing for 254 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 37 yards and a touchdown for Calhoun Academy.
