Softball Recap: Garner's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

The matchup between Garner and Willow Spring on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 14-7 margin over the Storm. Considering the Trojans have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Garner's third in a row) raised their record to 11-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Willow Spring, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.

Garner will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Storm: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
