Basketball Game Preview: Marlboro County Bulldogs vs. Waccamaw Warriors

The Marlboro County Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Waccamaw Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Waccamaw took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Marlboro County, who comes in off a win.

Marlboro County took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Georgetown with a sharp 47-24 victory. That 23 point margin sets a new team best for Marlboro County this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Waccamaw was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They had to suffer through a 65-24 loss at the hands of Loris.

Waccamaw's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Marlboro County, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Marlboro County was able to grind out a solid victory over Waccamaw in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 64-54. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Waccamaw's Corine Gregory, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.
