Softball Recap: Firth Takes a Loss

Firth managed to slip by Declo the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars lost 15-5 to the Hornets on Friday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Firth saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mckenna Erickson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Firth has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Declo, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Firth will challenge Ririe at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Declo, they will take on Wendell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 12.3 runs per game this season.
