Basketball Recap: Sioux City East Black Raiders vs. Lincoln Lynx
The Sioux City East Black Raiders stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Lincoln 72-39 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Sioux City East who now have seven in a row.
Despite the defeat, Lincoln had strong showings from Addie Naughton, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Preslie Girres, who scored five points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Pearce, who scored nine points.
Sioux City East is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Sioux City East will be playing at home against the Warriors at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Crusaders at 12:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Bishop Heelan Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 289 points over their last four games.
