Basketball Recap: West Lafayette Takes a Loss

West Lafayette lost against Lafayette Central Catholic back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Lafayette Red Devils had to suffer through a 67-27 loss at the hands of the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.

Defeat or not, West Lafayette got some senior leadership from Bree Johnson and Molly Andrew. Johnson posted six points and 11 rebounds, while Andrew went 6 of 14 on her way to 12 points and five boards. That's the most rebounds Johnson has posted since back in November of 2024. Carole Powleit also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

West Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.

West Lafayette has already played their next contest (against Rensselaer Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lafayette Central Catholic has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Benton Central.
